Donna Fillion, a beloved teacher at Grantsville Elementary and long-time Utah resident, passed away on the 15th of February, 2023. She was 57 years old.

Who was Donna Filion? Know more about her

Donna Fillion was born on October 18, 1965 in Granger, located in the Ute Indian Reservation. Her parents were Donald and Janet Filion. Donna graduated from Grantsville High School in 1984 and later attended Utah State University to get her degree in Elementary Education and major in Early Childhood Education.

In pursuit of her ambitions, she moved to the University of Phoenix to attain her master’s degree in Administration Studies. The greatest source of joy for Donna was spending time with her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews whom she held dear for the rest of her life.

Donna dedicated 28 years of her life to Grantsville Elementary and subsequently Jordan School District as an educator, showing a resolute passion for the field of education. While her family was of utmost importance to her, she still found the time and resources to help each one of her students excel. Everyone who interacted with her admired her multiple roles of devoted friend, teacher, sister, daughter, and aunt. Donna was an outstanding role model that all could look up to and aspire to, never stopping discovering new knowledge.

How did Donna Filion Die? What was the cause of her death

Donna Filion a 57 year old resident of Grantsville, Utah passed away on February 15th, 2023, she is believed to pass away after a tough fight with an advanced illness.

Donna Filion will be remembered fondly by her loving family. She is survived by her parents, Donald and Janet Filion of Grantsville, Utah, as well as her siblings Katherine (Jon) Creager of Weston, Idaho, Kalynn Filion of Bountiful, Utah, Machelle (Mark) Becker of Mountain Green, Utah, and Ernie (Kari) Filion of Tooele, Utah.

Additionally, she also leaves behind 8 beloved nieces and nephews as well as 3 great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Funeral Arrangements:

Members of the public can pay their respects to Donna at her funeral services on Saturday, February 18th 2023 which will consist of viewing from 10:30am-12pm followed by the funeral which will be held at Grantsville Utah West Stake Center at 115 E. Cherry St Grantsville.
