JOSEPH Marley was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on March 12, 1991. When Jo was 11 years old, he shifted to Miami. Jo Mersa spent his early life in Jamaica before moving to Florida. In 2010, he began his musical career with the song “My Girl,” a joint effort with his cousin Daniel Bambaata Marley. The Jamaica Observer reported in 2014 that his major at Miami Dade College was studio engineering.
In 2014, he released Comfortable, his debut EP. Jo Mersa’s debut album titled, Eternal was released in 2021.
