Paul Harrison died on Monday night in Nesconset, New York, after being hit by a 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster City while riding his electric scooter across the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Route 347. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 40-year-old man from Lake Grove, was heading west on Route 347 when he struck Harrison, who was crossing the road at around 9:20 p.m. Harrison was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured in the accident. Both vehicles involved in the accident were impounded for safety checks, and the police are urging anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452. It is not yet clear whether any charges will be filed against the driver of the Dodge Ram, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
