But our government will never dare to cut the too many levels of bureaucracy that allow them to gain the votes of the very numerous public servants !
And they won’t neither reduce their own huge salaries + discretionary funds they receive (often to hire their own wife and children as secretaries at 3 ou 4 times the normal secretary salary) + expenses refunds + cars often with driver + appartment paid with our taxes + free travels etc etc… this is absolutly disgusting how our politicians have managed to offer themselves huge advantages paid with our taxes.
And our trouble is that it’s not only the ministers who abuse, it’s basicaly every civil servant… and we’ve got a lot of them (at european / national / regional / departmental / community and, at least local (city) level… with each their own civil servants… so we’ve got 1 civil servant for 120 inhabitants that’s insane !).
I really wish I was living in Ireland.
